Android 15 will debut on October 15
This year, Google very unusually presented its new Pixel smartphones much earlier than usual, in August, and did so before the premiere of the new version of Android.
Malicious people claim that this is because of the numerous problems with the new version, but Android usually debuted in October anyway.

Work on the final version of Android 15 has been going on for a long time. Google released several beta versions that had to deal with numerous problems. Interestingly, Android 15 appeared in the AOSP version over 2 weeks ago, which means that other smartphone manufacturers can also work on it freely.
However, Google itself has held off on the premiere on its devices because this time we are supposed to get a better-finished product. Whether this will actually happen, we will find out on October 15, because according to the latest rumors, that is when the update will appear for all Google smartphones, starting with Pixel 6.
This will be the first version of Android from Google available only on smartphones with a tensor processor. What’s more, it will also be the last system update that the Pixel 6 family will receive, although they can still count on security updates for the next two years.
As in previous years, the new version of the system will appear on all compatible devices at the same time. However, the OTA update will usually be made available in waves so that the giant has time to react if any errors appear that were not noticed during testing. All we can do is arm ourselves with patience and hope that no more serious errors will appear along the way.

What’s new in Android 15?
Android 15 is a continuation of work on creating a platform that will help increase productivity while providing new multimedia capabilities, minimizing energy consumption, and ensuring even smoother application operation.
Google has also focused on protecting user privacy and security by introducing, among other things, the fs-verify mechanism known from Linux. It allows you to cryptographically sign files to ensure that they have not been modified, for example, by malware.
The system will also introduce the ability to share only the active application window, not the entire smartphone screen.
This will provide greater privacy, among other things, by hiding the notifications we receive. The Health Connect platform, which collects all health and sports information from the fitness applications we use, will also gain new capabilities.
From a more technical perspective, the new system is also supposed to allow for better use of available hardware in smartphones and tablets.
There will be a new way of managing the battery (dynamic performance), which should further reduce the energy consumption of applications running in the background.
The system will also gain new possibilities for managing the use of the CPU and GPU, including better management of their use in the event that the temperature of the components is too high.
Android 15 is also supposed to be able to better use the capabilities of NPU (Neural Processing Unit) systems, which are becoming increasingly important due to the increasingly common use of artificial intelligence.
This will be visible, for example, when using the camera in low-light conditions. We will probably learn more details closer to the premiere.
