Ear washing machine

Have I complained lately that there are no interesting projects on Kickstarter? Oh yes, I complained. However, this time there was a design of a device so obvious that it was surprising that no one had introduced it to the market before. The Ear washing machine for in-ear headphones is certainly a missing link in the consumer electronics market;)

Wireless earbuds are another revolution for which Apple is responsible. Today, they are offered by every serious and frivolous producer (or a logotype paster). They are commonly used over a long period of time, which causes … some hygienic problems.

Physiology is not deceived, even if you clean your ear canals very often, earwax is produced anyway, and to a greater or lesser extent transferred to devices sticking in your ears. And since these usually have a lot of nooks and crannies, making it easier to collect dirt … you probably know yourself how headphones can look after some time.

Washing machine for headphones

The remedy for this unpleasant phenomenon is a headphone washing machine, a new idea straight from the recently boring Kickstarter. Cardlax EarBuds Washer is a small, aesthetically designed device that will allow you to keep your wireless treasures clean.

After opening the lid, you will find a rotating brush with which you can clean hard-to-reach places. Then you throw the headphones into the pseudo-drum of the washing machine, spray the fumes of isopropyl alcohol and the device will clean the rest of your headphones in the classic washing machine way. The manufacturer ensures that the device is designed to be compatible with all popular models of these devices.

Stupid, cheap, and fun

Of course, the idea itself is a bit absurd. Cleaning the headphones with a regular brush, microfiber or isopropyl alcohol is not a particularly difficult task. But … the device is cheap, only $ 33, and fun.

Not only has the device already sold well (already more than 7 times the target), I bet that in most homes it will belong to these completely nonsensical devices that give a lot of satisfaction and are shown to friends at every event. All in all, if it had the form of the legendary Frania washing machine, I would probably buy it myself, even though I don’t use earphones at all 🙂 Have a nice weekend!
