Ducati Twin-Cylinder : Arrival Set for March 2025

Ducati has taken the wraps of the latest Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2.

Both the high performance bikes are now in their lightest ever avatars, and are powered by the same 890cc 90-degree V2 engine producing 118bhp.

Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 chassis and design

The 2025 Panigale V2 marks a big transition in the design of the motorcycle, as it has been designed from a blank sheet of paper for the first time, and not simply adopting the engine with a reduced displacement.

The monocoque frame of the Panigale weights just 4kg, with the bike weighing 15kg less than the previous Panigale V2 S.

The design is inspired by the Panigale V4, with passive ventilation channels neatly integrated into the fairing to channel fresh air towards the rider and hot air from the radiator away.

You get full LED lighting and the ergonomic triangle has been defined to reduce the load on the rider’s wrists. Also present are new Y-spoke alloy wheels, an interpretation of the Marchesini three-spoke look.

When it comes to the Streetfighter V2, the naked is the lightest Streetfighter created by Ducati – 18kgs lighter than the previous model, thanks to the new light monocoque frame and the new V2 engine.

Like the Panigale, you get full-LED lighting here as well, and the looks of the Streetfighter are sharp and aggressive.

The fuel tank, the fully faired seat/tail unit and the light alloy wheels are the same as those of the Panigale V2. You also get a double-sided swingarm on both the bikes.

  • The completely redesigned mid-size crossover for twin-cylinder engine lovers sets new benchmarks for lightness, handling and ease of riding

  • Designed around the new Ducati V2 engine and with an aluminium monocoque frame, weighing 18 kg less than the previous model

  • Benchmark electronic equipment and Skyhook suspension, thanks to the Minimum Preload function and a two height adjustable seat make the V2 suitable for everyone

  • The 4EVER Ducati and Roadside Assistance packages allow you to travel with complete peace of mind, thanks to a 4-year warranty and an assistance network with over 800 official Ducati dealerships in 90 countries around the world.*

Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 suspension

The suspensions on both the Ducatis are fully adjustable. The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with Marzocchi forks and Kayaba shock absorbers, while the V2 S versions offer Ohlins forks and shock absorbers.

To maintain stability when cornering and at speed without a fairing, the Streetfighter V2 features a swingarm that is 30 mm longer than the Panigale V2 and a Sachs steering damper as standard.

The Brembo front braking system consists of two 320 mm discs and M50 monobloc calipers.

Both the Panigale V2 and the Streetfighter V2 use the new 90-degree V2 890cc engine with variable timing on the intake valves, and the power produced is 118bhp.

It weighs just 54.5kg – 9.4kg lighter than the Superquadro it replaces, and makes it the lightest twin-cylinder produced by Ducati.

It also makes less power, but the light weight should compensate in making the riding experience as enjoyable if not more.

Ducati Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 electronics and equipment

The Panigale V2 and Streetfighter V2 are equipped with a six-axis IMU, along with sports ABS Cornering with slide-by-brake functionality, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, Engine Brake Control and the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, the same system used on the Panigale V4, standard on both versions.

The S versions are also equipped with Ducati Power Launch and Pit Limiter as standard. Also, there are four riding modes on offer – Race, Sport, Road, Wet.

The dashboard is a new 5-inch TFT with a user interface derived from that of the new Panigale V4. The three views – Road, Road Pro and Track – are designed to allow the rider to concentrate on riding.

The rider interface has been streamlined, integrating the information as much as possible in order to reduce its density and therefore improve readability.

The rev counter, for example, also acts as a gear shift indicator, lighting up green at the ideal rpm to shift up, and red when over-revving is reached.

Globally, the new Panigale will arrive in dealerships in the V2 and V2 S versions at the end of January 2025, in Ducati Red livery only, while the new Streetfighter V2 will be available from the end of March 2025.

The Panigale and Streetfighter V2 will be offered in a two-seater configuration, while the V2 S versions will be available in a single-seater configuration with a passenger kit offered as an accessory.
